Dutch daredevil "Ice Man" Wim Hof is famous for the extraordinary ability of cold resistant
Nicknamed "Iceman", aged 50, from the Netherlands
Hof said: "I was walking in the park and see the ice. I pop up an idea: If I stand in the ice what will happen? I’d like to try. So, I took off my clothes, standing inside 30 seconds. When came out, I have a strong sense of pleasure. Since then, I do this every day. "
Hof began to explore his potential for freezing. January 1999, he barefoot completed a half marathon at the Arctic circle; 3 years later, he was only in a swimsuit, set a Guinness World Record of the longest amount of time swimming under the ice at the North Pole; he also wore only short and shoes climbing Mount Everest.
In this regard, Hof replied: "Everything is very simple. I know my body and mind; I know what I can do." He said he can resist the heat.
Hof’s amazing ability has caused scientists concern. But, so far, scientists still can not fully explain why Hoff can withstand severe cold.
Hof is no different from ordinary physical, his secret only in the psychological aspects of cold-resistant. Hof has practiced an ancient Himalayan meditation technique called ‘Tummo’; this meditation technique is thought to generate inner heat.
No matter what, Hof kept a number of Guinness World Records; no one seems to compete with him in cold-resistant. Therefore, he can continue to break his own record keeping.
