Fetuses That Look Like Other Things
Recently, a girl with whom I went to high school seven years ago posted no less than 32 pictures of her baby’s sonogram on Facebook. She’s nearly due, it seems, so as is only customary in 2K9, she chose to publicly share with her closest friends, family members and people she hasn’t talked to in seven years (::raises hands::) three dozen pics of the child that lives in her womb.Now, this is all well and good, of course, except for the fact that THE PICTURES ARE TERRIFYING. The baby’s horrifying resemblance to Benjamin Button are just…too…eerie. (If you didn’t see the movie, Brad Pitt grows up backwards, starting out as an elderly baby. It’s totally sour-stomach creepiez.)Naturally, as we work at Urlesque, we needed to take the next natural step and scour the Internet for publicly posted sonogram photos in an effort to find fetuses that resemble other things.
