Incredible headless chicken named Mike had lived for 18 months
September 10, 1945, a farmer in Colorado’s Fruita, Lloyd Olsen, prepared a dinner for his mother-in-law, his wife took a rooster of five months and a half for dish, as his mother-in-law liked eating chicken neck, accidentally, a ear and most of the brainstem were left when he’s beheading the cock.
Without head, the reaction of the cock was very violent, but soon it’s able to walk properly, as if nothing had happened. On the first night, the cock tucked its incomplete head under its wing to sleep and even wanted to use the beak to preen feathers, apparently, however, no head it could no longer plume its feather. This touched Olsen, who decided to save the cock alive and take care of it forever. He used eye drops bottle to feed Mike with the mixture of milk and water, sometimes small particles of corn and so on.
March 1947, Mike’s miracle life was to an end.
