Deyrolle, a taxidermy shop, has got to be the most bizarre outlet in Paris, freaking out anyone who walks by. Opened in 1831 by entomologist Emile Deyrolle, the shop has become a favorite haunt of the rich and famous, and budding scientists.

Design moguls Viktor & Rolf obviously like playing with your head; their store in Milan looks as if it’s been flipped entirely on its head, with chandeliers adorning the floor and chairs on the ceiling.
