Sichuan-Tibet Highway, China
Geologists call it "the world’s most dangerous road."
It’s 2,412km long and traverses 14 high mountains of average 4,000-5000m, spans dozens of famous rivers, crosses primeval forest and many dangerous sections. More than 3,000 young people had given their lives to build this road; this ‘death line’ can be regarded as the heaviest sacrifices in the history of road construction.
