Giant arapaima and diver
Arapaima – a large South American freshwater fish (Arapaima gigas) that typically attains a length of 3 meters (10 feet).
This photo of an adult arapaima was taken by a diver in Manaus, Brazil. As one of the world’s largest freshwater fish, some big arapaima, the length up to 3 meters and weight up to 180 kg. Now, due to over-predation these big fish have been in danger of extinction.
